Social Inbox & Analytics

Review comments and mentions in the social inbox, track engagement in social analytics, and fix broken account connections.

Social Inbox & Analytics

Once your posts are live, Social → Inbox collects the conversation and Social → Analytics reports the performance. Both are scoped to the website selected in the website switcher.

Social Inbox

The inbox (/social/inbox) has two tabs, each with its own unread badge:

  • Comments — replies left on posts you published through ScaleBlogger.
  • Mentions — posts where someone mentions or tags your brand.

Use Sync now (or Sync mentions) to pull the latest activity from the connected accounts, then reply inline, generate an AI reply suggestion, mark items read or unread, or mark everything as read. Filters narrow the list, and sentiment is analysed automatically the first time a batch of unanalysed comments loads — you can also re-run it from Analyze sentiment. Replies you send from the inbox are posted through the connected account for that post.

If the inbox is empty, it usually means no accounts are connected or nothing has been published yet; the empty state links straight to Manage connections. Opening the inbox requires the Manage social inbox team permission.

Social Analytics

The analytics dashboard (/social/analytics) covers published posts over the last 7, 30, or 90 days, with an optional platform filter. It reports:

  • Totals for impressions, likes, comments, shares, and clicks
  • Average engagement rate across posts that have metrics
  • A per-platform breakdown chart, including which page, board, or channel the post went to
  • A daily time series of impressions and engagement
  • A table of individual posts with links out to the live post

Metrics are pulled from each platform’s API on a schedule, and Refresh fetches them on demand. Freshly published posts show as pending for a while: platforms need time to report numbers, so each post has a wait period before its first fetch. The dashboard shows how many posts are still pending and when metrics were last fetched. Only posts published through ScaleBlogger that returned a platform post ID can be measured.

Fixing connection problems

Most missing comments, mentions, or metrics come down to a broken connection. On Social Connections (/social/connections) each account shows a token status badge:

  • Valid — nothing to do.
  • Expiring soon — platforms that support automatic refresh (YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Threads, Instagram, TikTok) renew themselves; others should be reconnected.
  • Expired or Needs reconnect — the platform revoked access. A red banner appears at the top of the page and publishing to that account is paused until you click Reconnect and re-authorize.

Other things to check: the account must be active, and a destination must be selected for platforms that need one (Facebook page, LinkedIn page, Pinterest board, YouTube channel). If posts publish but no engagement appears, confirm the account has the permissions the platform requires for reading comments and insights, then run a sync from the inbox or a refresh from analytics.
