SEO Site Audit & Settings
Crawl your site for technical, on-page, and quality issues, and configure crawl scope, frequency, alerts, and data connections per website.
SEO Site Audit & Settings
The Search & GEO area of the ScaleBlogger dashboard crawls your website, flags technical, on-page, and quality problems, and keeps every SEO preference for that website in one place.
Where to find it
- Search & GEO → Audit → Site Audit (
/seo/site-audit) — every crawled page and the issues found on it. - Search & GEO → Settings → SEO Settings (
/seo/settings) — opens the SEO tab of the selected website's settings, so the options always apply to that one website.
Both pages need an active website selected. Site Audit, keyword, ranking, and backlink data are part of SEO Analysis, which is available on the Pro plan and above.
Reading the Site Audit page
Four summary cards sit at the top:
| Card | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Health score | The SEO score from the latest audit. 80+ is Good, 50–79 is Needs work, below 50 is Poor. |
| Pages audited | How many crawled pages are in the index for this website. |
| Pages with issues | Crawled pages with at least one detected issue. |
| Last audit | The date of the most recent audit and the data source behind it. |
Issues ScaleBlogger detects
Each crawled page is checked against the same rules, and the counters under the summary let you filter the table to one issue at a time.
| Issue | When it is flagged |
|---|---|
| Missing title | The page has no title tag text. |
| Missing meta description | The page has no meta description. |
| Missing H1 | No H1 heading was found. |
| Low word count | Fewer than 300 words. |
| Non-200 status | The crawler received an HTTP status other than 200. |
| Low SEO score | Page SEO score below 50. |
| Low quality score | Page quality score below 50. |
Below the counters, a Top recommendations card lists the advice from the latest audit, and the page table shows title and URL, HTTP status, SEO score, quality score, word count, whether an H1 and meta description exist, estimated monthly traffic, and a link that opens the live page. You can also search the table by URL or title.

Google Search Console
Connect Search Console from the SEO settings page to bring in real query, click, impression, and position data. Search Performance and the quick-win detection in Next Moves depend on this connection.
Backlink & SEO data provider
Backlink, keyword, and competitor data come from ScaleBlogger's managed SEO data service. It is included with your plan and shows as Active; you never need to add a third-party API key.
Crawl scope & frequency
- Crawl scope — All pages auto-discovers the whole site, or Selected paths only limits crawling to the paths you list, one per line (for example
/blog). - Crawl frequency — daily, weekly, every 2 weeks, or monthly. New websites default to weekly.
- Max pages per crawl — 200 by default. Lower it to focus on your most important pages.
These values are read by the crawl scheduler itself, so saving them changes what actually gets crawled.
Notification thresholds
Add a notification email, then switch on alerts for new site-audit issues and new opportunities. Each alert has its own threshold (5 by default), so you are only emailed once that many new items are found.
Running an audit on demand
Run SEO audit now re-arms the crawler for the selected website. Your saved crawl scope is preserved, and the fresh results appear in Site Audit after the next scheduler run rather than instantly.
Autonomy settings
Channel autonomy (how far ScaleBlogger can act on opportunities by itself) now lives on the per-website Automation page, linked from the top of SEO Settings. Autopilot actions require the Starter plan or above.
Saving changes
Edits stay local until you press Save settings. Discard changes appears next to it while there are unsaved edits.
