GEO/AEO & LLM.txt Generator
The Optimize group in the AI Search area is where you improve the content itself. GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) and AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) measure how quotable your articles are for AI answer engines, while the LLM.txt Generator publishes a machine-readable summary of your site.
How GEO scores work
Every article is scored out of 100 across five dimensions, each worth up to 20 points:

Scores are computed automatically during quality gate evaluation and can be re-run from the pipeline. The higher the score, the more likely AI search engines are to cite the page.
Reading the GEO/AEO page
- Average GEO Score and how many articles have been scored
- High Scoring (70+) and Needs Optimization (below 40) counts
- Distribution — High (70–100), Medium (40–69), Low (0–39), and Not Scored
- Dimension Averages — your average score per dimension, out of 20, to show where to focus
- Top GEO Articles and Optimization Opportunities — your best and weakest pages
A weak dimension average is the fastest lever: for example, a low Source Attribution score usually means adding sourced statistics and expert quotes across several articles.
The LLM.txt Generator
ScaleBlogger generates two files that follow the llms.txt spec (v1.1.1):
- llms.txt — a structured summary of your business, services, and key content, served at
yoursite.com/llms.txt - llms-full.txt — a fuller content index, served at
yoursite.com/llms-full.txt
Both are built from your business intelligence, your published articles sorted by GEO score, and your content keywords. They are regenerated during the weekly AI visibility scan, or you can trigger generation from the AI Search Hub. The page shows when the files were last generated and deployed, the deployment method used, and whether auto-regenerate is on.
Deploying llms.txt
- Auto-deploy (recommended) — press Deploy to CMS to publish both files to your connected CMS. WordPress and Ghost are supported.
- Manual upload — use Copy or Download and place the files in your site root.
- Verify — open both URLs and confirm they are served with
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8.
Set your expectations
Current evidence shows llms.txt has close to zero impact on whether you are cited today, because major engines do not yet rely on it for retrieval. Treat it as cheap future-proofing. To actually win citations, focus on the on-page levers GEO measures — statistics, expert quotes, answer-first structure, and schema — and on your normal search ranking. Use the AI Search Hub and the per-article citation gap analysis to find and apply those fixes.
