Twitter/X Integration

Connect your Twitter/X account to automate content promotion and audience engagement.

Requirements

Before connecting:

  • Twitter/X account with developer access (for API v2 features)
  • Application Passwords enabled if using 2FA
  • Appropriate account permissions

Connection Steps

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations
  2. Find Twitter/X and click Connect
  3. You will be redirected to Twitter for authorization
  4. Approve the requested permissions
  5. Return to ScaleBlogger

Authentication Details

ScaleBlogger uses OAuth 1.0a for Twitter integration, which provides:

  • Secure token-based authentication
  • No password storage required
  • Revocable access at any time

Available Features

Automated Posting

  • Text posts up to 280 characters
  • Image attachments
  • Thread creation for longer content

Engagement

  • Reply to mentions
  • Like relevant posts
  • Retweet capabilities

Post Configuration

In your social media settings:

  • Default post template - Format for automated posts
  • Hashtag preferences - Auto-suggest or manual
  • Image inclusion - Featured image or none
  • Link shortening - Use t.co or full URLs

Troubleshooting

Authorization failed

  • Ensure pop-ups are enabled in your browser
  • Check that your Twitter account is in good standing
  • Try disconnecting and reconnecting

Posts not appearing

  • Verify the connection status in Settings
  • Check for Twitter API rate limits
  • Review the post queue for errors

Rate Limits

Twitter enforces rate limits:

  • 50 tweets per 15-minute window
  • 300 posts per 3-hour window

ScaleBlogger automatically respects these limits.
